Newest Project

I decided I needed some "art" to fill a blank spot on our wall behind the bed in our bedroom and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the piece Michael and I made. First we cut an old interior door in half and then added scrap strips of wood. I placed them where I thought they should go then painted them all different colors. Michael dry brushed walnut gel stain on the top and then shot some nails in it. Then the masterpiece appeared. I am not sure everyone will like it or will understand it but I think it is great. Hey, I am not even sure Michael completely gets it but he did what I wanted and that is what works for us. I love that we can work together and do these types of things together. It also gave us an excuse to use up some scraps in his shop. We used parts of an old door, walnut from his father's house, red painted wood from a cabinet we used to have in our living room, oak, poplar, pine and just junk wood. It is so fun to be able to create from the pieces that others would just throw away. We believe that every thing has a least one more use- to be created into something cool!!!

Anyway, call us or shoot us an email if you are interested in any work for yourself or someone else. Thanks for reading along!! Let us know what you thing! I love the feedback!

  1. I get it and I LOVE it too! I still want Michael to work his magic on a step stool for my little ones but can't commit until I know when/if we're moving. Still no offers but LOTS of lookers.
